I will be soon be installed a Dometic 50 fridge behind the drivers seat for an upcoming 3 week road trip. In order to still be comfortable, I must remove the seats behind driver and rear plastics. Now with this wall exposed, I would like to try sound insulating the rear wall best as possible.

What would you suggest for materials? I am planning Noico for the CLD material, but an unsure on the rest. I have read only a 1/8” MLV will fit. Would anyone suggest more than this?

Lastly, before I jump in does anyone think that going through this effort will result in road noise that is the same or less than if the seats were still installed? I would hate to spend the time and money on this if I couldn’t expect to take care of the extra noise I introduced from the rear wall.
