Hey I'm in need of new rear shocks. I just had all the front end suspension replaced. Now it's time for new rear shocks. Been seeing everyone talk about the 5100's but I don't have any kind of lift on the truck but I do have adjustable front coilovers. But it's set to be level.. My question is would the 5100's be fine for stock height. If not I'm open to any help! Thanks guys

They have stock height to 2” and 2” + options. Just call whatever off road shop and ask for 5100s for a stock pickup and they’ll send the right ones.

I have the 0-2” “stock ones on my 4Runner and they’re stiff ha.

The 4600's are essentially the same as the 5100s, but for stock height. So if you don't want a lift, get those.

    I've never heard of 5100s having a 0-2" version for a 1st gen Tacoma. Maybe for a 4Runner, but we're talking Tacomas... They've always been 1 (or newers ones are 1.5") - 3".

You can't just get different shocks for the rear unless you change the springs too (either add-a-leaf, shackle, or new leafs). The shocks don't lift it like they do in the front.

@Big Phill 02 I'm a little confused, you are talking about stock height, yet the info on the left of the screen says "02 Tacoma 4x4 3" lift"... You talking about a different truck?

Rear extended length 5100s (for first gen Tacoma) are good for 0-2.5” lift.

Quick Google to save the day.
