    If you are doing trails now where you are engaging 4x4, I wouldn't expect you to be able to to those same trails in 2wd, even if you have 18" travel. Throttle only gets you so far.

    I'd say stick to less travel, but keep the 4x4.

    I would say it describes the whole situation pretty well.

    Turns out they do make a 4X4 option, but I do agree with ya.

    If you look on the first page of this thread, TT motorsports has a link that was posted to this thread of the 4X4 version. Pretty rad.

    4600 without cvs or shocks... but it clears 37s.

    They seem rad from your build thread, starting young with my dad is why I'm making financially irresponsible vehicular decisions. :thumbsup:

    :rofl:

    Things my daughter has asked me:

    Can you teach me to weld? (A: when I get another welding helmet. Wait here, I'll be right back.)

    When can I ride a motorcycle? (A: as soon as I get you one. [wife glares menacingly])

    My son likes mountainbiking with me, but definitely got more of my nerd genes.

    Not sure if this has been mentioned, but;

    If you're considering a 2j swap but only want 400 hp, consider a 1jz instead. They can be had for about 1/3 of the cost of a 2j, can reliably make 700+ horsepower on stock internals if properly tuned, and the later VVTI version made peak torque at just 2400 RPM's.

    There's a video floating around of a 2nd gen running a 1jz. Check it out. It looks like tons of fun!
