I preordered just using Paypal, since the ordering website seemed to be sending me in circles between itself and Paypal. I sent the payment for $170.09 since I used my credit card for the Paypal payment. I think that is the correct amount, if not, let me know. I included my TW username and address in the Paypal order. The order is for Qty-1 "C0 Black Pillar and Handle" for a 2017 Tacoma Limited.

 

Yes I seen the posts that it wasn’t the final product. I also seen that it is a mirror image of the passenger which could be assumed shape size and handle location.

BUT nothing really regarding the texture… and surely nothing in the post you quoted

Yes. I will be doing it again soon. Sorry. My sister just got admitted to the hospital and is having surgery today that wasn’t planned. I did finish the install though

I will try if I can but if it’s about the cost I won’t be able to do that as I do not have a weight yet, but I will attempt to take a look at them tonight. I just got home from the hospital and I’m trying to get to messages on forums, PMs, looking at website, and oh yeah....I finally got harassed enough that I decided to try to start all those you know social media forums: Facebook, Instagram, and maybe I will link my YouTube Channel even though I hate doing that stuff. Actually I don’t know if it will match OE. Have you looked at the OE. I know mine, I wasn’t able to have my bolt go through on the back side. I fricken found out by breaking the bolt inside and had to use pliers to get it out. I frickn laughed it off but that’s how I found that one out. Does any of yours go through the back side? Mine is closed off. However, don’t buy this. It will come with the kit.

 

Yes I had a look when I replaced tweeters. It's just a welded tab with an open hole? Anyway small detail that can be worked out when the parts get here. Keep up the good work

 

Oh that’s nice. I wonder why mine is closed off. Any other 2017s closed? I will definitely put that one in the mix for my vendors to be put in the kit. However, instead of going the route I went:

I’d really like to use a jacknut and go that route for the install. I did this for my MESO Molle Rack, but I also know not everyone has a rivnut gun. The cheapest way would be to continue down the path we are currently going. However, for anyone interested in taking that detour themselves, here is a short versions of how one would do that kind of an install:

Thread the supplied jacknut onto the rivnut gun like shown



Insert the jacknut into the factory hole. Getting it as centered as possible.



Squeeze the tool until the nut is bottomed out. It will "crush" behind the panel and lock into the metal tight. Here is the result:

(if you look closely the 4 tabs of the jack nut are in an "X" shape")

 

Wait until you have a unit in hand to do the shipping calculation. It might come in lower than my estimate. Looks like there’s plenty of time

How does the rebate process work? I ordered on Nov 30, and sent the form and info on Dec 2.
