I ordered a new seat for the drivers side, bottom only.

Is this an easy install or do I need to have it professionally installed?

Please advise if you can walk me through it.

    Thank you,
    b

Also any chance you can share where you bought the bottom seat? Looking for a replacement for my 2009 Taco.

Reasonably easy. Tedious more than anything. Only special tool needed is hog ring pliers.
That being said, it will be easiest if you take the back of the seat. The front and sides snap onto the metal pan. Hog rings for the back to close it up and the tucks on the sides and the middle. Getting the hog ring pliers to hold both the metal in the seat foam and the seat cover was the trickiest part.

$250? Mines starting to get bad on the outer bolster and I'd consider replacing it but not for $250. Now that I know I'll keep an eye out for a good deal on all leather from Katskinz.

You could probably find it a lil cheaper perhaps from one of the vendors here.

Are you replacing the bottom because of a tear at the round lumbar adjustment knob?

Some fraying where your butt slides across the seat from the side to the top. Like where it turns from the side to the top. Way sorry for the crazy explanation.

Mine hasn't worn through yet, but in seeing what most do, I take it easy getting in or out of the truck. But I know it's only time and in the back of my mind, I would like to keep the same fabric. At least I have the part number. Also gives me time to save my pennies.

When I bought my truck I had the same wear on the seat from sliding off.

I took my truck to a local automotive upholstery guy. He matched the color and new foam for around ~150
He just replaced that side not the whole seat cover.

100k miles later it’s just starting to wear now so not bad.

    I looked it up. Toyotapartsdeal.com

cheaper than ordering from the dealer. OEM item. I think an upholstery shop will install it for $150. I have not
