I'm pretty northwest about an hour south of Erie, nothing here. Erie on the other hand most likely. They got some decent lake effect last

I just wanted to throw this out there and see what you all think. I have been building for a little while now, and have learned a few valuable lessons. The biggest one is to ask all the dumb questions and entertain the issues others have come across. My overall goal for the build is essentially to run 315's. I am clearanced for that now I believe. I know that a re-gear is not only recommended, but pretty much a must do. Here is my thinking, anyone please feel free to chime in with their thoughts.

I have the OR package, so therefore an E-locker in the rear. I also have a '12 so i have the A-TRAC system with essentially uses the front ABS system as a front locker. With both of those systems I am thinking that the truck would be plenty capable without splurging for a locker and all the extras (compressor, switch, wiring, etc...) So I have been tossing the idea around of just getting the gears and leaving everything else the same. If I just replace the gears it would allow me to move the build a long without a couple of year pause.

After buying a suspension system and then wanting to redo my whole front and rear set up, I would like to avoid this remorse again if possible. For those that wheel and have experience with front locker vs. A-TRAC I'm most interested in your feedback.

It's all in the driving. I do hard core stuff with only a rear locker. No ATRAC. @Redmann has ATRAC but never uses it and goes thru tough shit and we both run 285s. A good spotter and some skill will get you down alot of trails. Come run with us sometime and see how its done.

That is what has gotten me thinking that although it is cool to add a locker, I don't see the need for my application right now. I have a high desire to run trails out west before I retire the truck, and that is really fueling the desire for 35s.

Fucking Atlas.. currently running to the kitchen to his food bowl, grabbing a mouthful, running all the way back to the computer room, spitting it out and then eating it.

Why? I guess because I'm in the computer room.
