    or debit card info.

sell that info along with name/address in the dark recesses of the web. someone buys the info and then buys a bunch of stuff before card owner ever notices.

only way I'd touch a site like that would be using a virtual card #. My citi card provides the service; I can set a maximum amount like $75 and set the expiration date as close as two months out. Really handy for subscription stuff like SiriusXM that wants to auto-renew.

What actor/character is that? Je looks really familiar. I want to say that he looks like the actor that played Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit trilogy.

One really needs to check things when using Website to buy expensive equipment.

People make mistakes after all to them it is just numbers .

It seems a slight mistake was made by a Welding Equipment Supplier on the web Site part numbers.

It seems the part # for 480/460 VAC machines was switched for ones that are dedicated 575 VAC only a tad different found a lot in Ship Yards and The Great white North

The fact the Installers at the plant never took notice or just did not care is interesting .

So over the course of a year you keep buying by the same part number maybe 80 to 100 machines

So as ever it is Let the Buyer beware !!

It seems no other companies had this same issue or I have not heard of it yet

Did a little more practice today. I think that I'm finally starting to dial in my machine. Had it on auto-set for a long time and just couldn't get the right settings. Finally got out of auto-set and just started playing with it. So glad I did. Still have a ton of work to do before I start work on the Taco and GX, but feeling much more comfortable now...

That auto set is such a gimmick. You just have to learn to play with settings to get your style and the machine in since.

    I only want 3 switches.

    On/off.

    Wire speed.

    Amperage.

Oh, and to hell with digital readouts.

Preach it! I’m so glad I bought my millermatic 210 when I did, right before they came out with digital adjustments. I set it by sound anyway so I don’t really know what any of the numbers mean :D

Gotta hurry up and finish it but I’m making a small fire pit for my dad for Christmas.

Cut this stuff out on my plasma table. Pyramid base with a cut out in it. The area that will hold the wood will be a cube with one side open for the wood to go in. One of the cubes corners will sit inside the cutout of the pyramid base. My dad likes to hunt and stuff and like the mountains so I made the 2 graphics sides woodsy and stuff.

A friend of mine owns a septic business. He just came by and ask if I knew anybody who had a plasma cutter that could cut the back of the tank off of his pump truck so he could get in it and do some work on the baffles. I thought for a minute what he ask and I said “no, I don’t know ANYBODY” and changed the subject. I don’t want to do anything on a septic pump truck, especially where the do-do is.

I'm disappointed in you. It's just shit. You bid the job so you can include proper PPE.

Its amusing isnt it? I laugh when I see people tossing out the flux core a d going with gas on their 115v welders and doing fab work on suspension. The flux core gives you some extra heat, and once you get good with it you can minimize the splatter and get welds that look 90% as good as a solid core. If someone is adamantly against flux core, and saying it's an inferior process you can tell they have mo idea wtf they are talking about. As most of the pro welders know, its basically inside out stick and most of the really heavy duty structural welding is done with dual shield.

My thing is you need to let the welder cool down anyway to get the duty cycle back, good time to clean the slag off. My trick with slag is using a drill with a wire wheel on it, you get the slag off really quick, most of the spatter and it gets into corners really nicely.

I do hate using flux core on sheet metal though, I wish I had a bottle for that.

    I agree entirely.

I won't use flux core on vehicles. The Sparks are much hotter than when using gas. The paint on vehicles is flammable. I don't need to burn my shop down by using flux core.
