The 63 Chevy leaves are an idea I've been looking into but it's just a matter of finding them. How do those handle weight also? I know a big plus to them were that they provide the lift height but also allow for a good amount of flex but doesn't that mean they won't handle weight very well? I'm not sure

Super charged with 529s in sure it will. However the 37s and permentantly welded on gang box for my bed will definitely add some slug to it

Just a quick FYI. I'm on a 3" lift currently so you guys won. All your bickering from over a year ago finally worked and I gave in and got myself a 3" lift.

    Now i want a 6-8" lift because I want a 6-8" lift. Lol

Lol more than $100k per year plus benihanas. Oh yeah and the wife makes not quite as much but you get the idea.
Has nothing to do with saying I have more money than someone else at all. Some people choose to spend thousands a year on McDonald's. That literally only kills them. No other benefits but that's cool with most people.
You were one of those who actually helped me get my 3" lift but are quick to judge when I want something outside your comfort zone. Appreciate he help for my other lift.

I'm right there with you! I use to have to be qualified to fight fires at work and I hated that week of pulling the hose dummy from the burn building. It was fun the first couple of years but got old quick. No way I'd do it for $22 an hour.

My wife's cousin was a volunteer fire fighter that died in the line of duty years ago. Ever since we've always pick up the tab for one when out eating somewhere, I have a special place in my heart for fire fighters, they definitely deserve to be paid better! Stay safe young man!

Personally, If I was going to do a 6” lift I would honestly do a 4 link with coil overs. I would probably also just do an SAS but that’s me.

I’m not sure how disposable income was mentioned but I’m one of the few people who think all income is disposable. Everything we own ends up as trash in the end and we can’t take it with us when we die. I think the goal is to balance a comfortable lifestyle with your income level.

I’m just surprised you are doing something that doesn’t give you much benefit if any (actually more wear and tear on components) and kills your power even with 5.29’s.

After talking to you the first time you seemed like a function over form kinda guy, but it’s your truck...whatever floats your boat over in HI. Not judging. Enjoy your truck Dr. Brown

Have u thought about a bds 6 in with coil overs and maybe doing some cutting to fit 37s. That lift rides good. Throw in 5.29 gears for sure. I saw a long bed 18 model with this lift and 35s and it looked great. I think 37s would look good if u could do enough trimming

All my coworkers keep suggesting BDS. I'm definitely going with full length coilovers and hopefully can keep the cranking on them to a minimum but we will see how they sit initially.
I haven't seen too many 37s in Hawaii on tacomas which is one of the reasons I want to go with them. Mostly deep dish on 33s which is nice to look at but not practical as I plan to off-road this truck.
I think the guys that say they don't feel too bad on 33+ tires without reagearing forget that even though they may not feel the sluggishness that doesn't mean the entire drive train isn't still taking a beating from the larger diameter. I'm most likely going to look into an electronic locker (if that's even an aftermarket option) because I've seen stories of people blowing lines on an air system for their lockers. But we will see.
