Yeah. I jest. Not including photo radar I have one speeding ticket in the last decade, and manage to have no at-fault collisions. Not trying to brag but I don’t think that’s really bragging anyway. It is good for the wallet though.

 

no harm to others is definately worth bragging about. i want my plates on actuators that flip 180*. you know, for photo shoots so i dont have to black them out, or something like that.

 

Never understood blacking out your plates in a photo. You gonna black them out while you drive around for the rest of the world to see?

 

Also curious how the blower reacts to the higher displacement

 

I did urd headers at the same time. So far I haven't taken it over 4000rpm or over 6 pounds of boost. It appears boost numbers are down some but not alot.

 

I'm going to assume that less airflow is required to make more power, though that is at this moment just an educated guess until proven right or wrong.

How not really? His airflow increased due to larger displacement thereby dropping his boost meaning the blower works less to produce the same or more power.

 

I’ve heard here that the police come after you hardcore. A friend of mine got photo radar flashed but his license plate was obscured by snow. And they somehow found him based on other cues about his car and phoned to tell him to clean off his plate. I’m sure if you intentionally block your plate they’d be less cordial.

 

just for photos. id have a flip assembly for making that easy. people tracing your whereabouts is why its made annonomymous

Also, for the y-pipe portion of the exhaust, should I have it done in 2.5” or 3” pipe?

Getting the exhaust done next Monday so wanna make sure I get it right.

 

@Roostfactor is the only one with it right now. I went with a 3” collecter on the y-pipe since the muffler is 3” in and out.

 

I'm going with 3" as well. Gotta let her breathe!

 

i like the lower note of the 3" pipe myself.

 

Now that the truck is back and actually finished, I'm actually liking the exhaust note. URD equal lengths into my custom high clearance 2.5" y pipe into 3" collector, full cat delete, into a Borla and then a Magnaflow muffler.

Those Remflex gaskets at the header/y pipe flanges worked great. Thanks for the recommendation guys. The truck definitely seems to breathe better, sounds happier, and just cruises better. But.. I also haven't really driven it a lot before this, so might just be excited to be in it again. Lol Just need to datalog over the holiday break.

@Torspd can agree but I try to dress homeless like David freibuger. I just play edm music and drive with a purpose most of the times. No grey hairs yet.

 

today is the 2 year date i bought my truck. i think i love it more now than when i bought it. lead me here, where ive learned a lot and met great people. reason to be greatful indeed!
