    Hi TW!

My first 2017 quicksand taco arrives tomorrow and I'm so excited. Looking for part numbers now to de-chrome the exterior, I figured others may have already been down this path and even more may do the same in the future, so gathering all the part #s to do this in one thread will be nice.

    Looking for:
    - Quicksand mirror caps (R&L side)
    - Black for light bezels (R&L side)
    - Quicksand door handles (R&L side, 4 total)

    Found:
    - Emblems
    - Pro grill

    Unsure of:
    - Tail lights. Is there anything I can do here?
    - Exhaust tip. Unsure how chromed the appearance really is as the truck isn't here yet.
    - Stepper bar/sliders. I'm more of a mall crawler, but it is 4x4 and I'm in norcal. I honestly don't understand the difference between steppers and bars. Just starting my research here. The truck has a chrome stepper now, it needs to go.

For tails you could always switch to the 18-19 years TRD model as those have black internals (this is what I did), or could go full Pro style (black internals as well but clear lens). You can either find them periodically in the Buy/Sell/Trade section of the forums, or can buy aftermarket look-alikes.

Thanks for the tip! Do you know if those are plug and play or if they require modifications to replace?

Those are covers for trims without mirror signals.
    You want the 04070 versions.

Another (better, in my opinion) option is to debadge.

    For fog bezels, you want:
    52128-04020
    52127-04020

I was planning to replace the turn signals with MESO signals. Does this part not include the cutouts at all, or just not have the duplicate parts? Maybe I misinterpreted the part. I wish they included more details and photos but I realize how massive of a task that would be for every part.

I've not replaced them yet but that's the plan. You'll be first in line at this point!

Yeah they didn't make it until those years. I'm pretty sure the shape of the exhaust didn't change at all amount the years. Might be good to see if anyone else has done it

Also! The non black tip is the same 16 to current. Based on that, it should be just fine.

Swapped out the mirror caps this morning. So easy, took about 10 minutes total. While I was in there I dropped in MESO customs blackout turn signals. Really subtle change but I'm in love.
