I'm serious. If you aren't using it for anything else, put one in there. Then when you do forget to ask, you have one. That is really what I keep in it. My daughter is stationed in San Diego, and when I went to visit her the first time I kept having to take the lid off my drink cause I didn't know to "ask for a straw". When I got home from that trip I decided to put one in my truck and that was the place I found.

It’s a car. It has no bearing on your sexuality. The casual homophobia that permeates the automotive community is quite tiresome.

One of my closest friends is a non-binary person who has a great talent for all things mechanical. I would trust them to take care of a vehicle above pretty much anyone else. They have a particular fondness for malaise-era American land yachts, but their daily is an Accord that is in excellent shape whenever I see it.

By maintaining an abrasive attitude toward LGBT people, you may very well deprive yourself of some very knowledgeable people.
