My girlfriends power steering went out this morning like 2 seconds after she went to move her car. She came inside to tell me and we went back to check it out it was working again. Any idea what this might be or how i go about troubleshooting it? It's a 2010 chevy equinox. Any help is much appreciated.

Post on a Chevy site. They would have more experience with this issue.

I found something about a faulty pump. Thats probably something I could do Im gonna look into it more. That cars got a ton of problems and she actually paid 1500 for a new transmission I tried to talk her out of it but she bought it for 7500 like a year ago and refuses to take a L on it. I tried to tell her if you have 1500 tow it to Toyota take the 2000 on trade in put the 1500 towards a 2019 Corolla or Camry and you'll have a warranty. And around the time the transmission went Toyota was letting 18 Corollas go for like 14000.
