Hey there, I'm replacing the stock 16" 6 lug steel wheels and tires with the 17" TRD Pro's and Cooper AT3's. Is there any market for the old ones? They aren't in that great of a shape but could probably be cleaned up a bit. I really don't have a place to put them and I'm just not sure what to do with them.

I sold my stock aluminum wheels and tires for $120 yesterday on Craigslist. I'm sure you could do the same.

Thanks, but that's why I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble. If your aluminum wheels/tires are worth $120, I'm thinking my sorta crappy steels wheels are virtually worthless. On the other hand, I guess anything I can get is better than nothing.

Ya never know. Some people prefer steel wheels.

My 2010 stock aluminum wheels looked terrible and leaked air, (peeling paint and corroded aluminum). Minnesota road chemicals are not nice to aluminum. In the winter I need to add air every week and a half to 2 weeks. Replaced them with some new looking steel wheels with full chrome Toyota hub caps I found on Craigslist for $100. I didn't want to be bothered storing or trying to sell the aluminum ones on Craigslist so I took them to a scrap processor and got $47 for the four. Haven't had to add air to the wheels/tire for over two months.

    A thing or two...
There's a market for just about anything if you find the right buyer. I sold the stock steel rims and factory spare on here. You just have to find the right buyer.

Also, I see you're in AR. Say hi in the AR thread if you haven't already. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/any-members-in-arkansas.44792/

I'm in TN and couldn't give my excellent condition stock steels away- tried multiple times. Ended up taking them for recycling. Give it a try on FB or CL and see what happens, but don't expect much. If they have tires you'll probably have to get them removed before you can scrap the wheels so it'll cost you $

I was just in the market for stock steelies. I got tired of looking at my SCS F5's and wanted to go back to being simple. There's definitely a market for em.
