Which is more of a pure white? It seems to differ by brand from what I’ve seen. My dumbass bought some 6500k LEDS without doing much research and they have a bluish tint that I don’t care for. Considering morimito and xenon depot kits.

4500k is closer to the yellowish of halogens and 5500k is closer to pure white. You do have to be careful of what you use. Blue light at night is horrible for human eyes. You will see much less of the road. It's really not as simple as just throwing an HID/LED kit into a truck that wasn't designed for it.

Yeah I found out the hard way. At first they seemed nice but don’t have as much visibility when it’s really dark.

When you have stock, factory installed HID, the bulbs are commonly about 4600k. I have the Phillips XD H11kit installed on my 3rd gen and those bulbs are rated the same. XD makes a 5000or 5500k and that is going to be that white, led looking, light. Anything higher will progressively be blue and there are some completely useless purple ones out there rated at 12000k.

The best way to describe my 4600k with respect to the light on the road is like sunlight. It is not pure white, like looking at the road on a sunny day. Looking into the light (don’t recommend that) it doesn’t look much whiter than halogen although it actually is. The projected light is very bright but it’s not tiring to the eyes.

I see you have a 3rd gen so I will tell you with the 4600k bulbs the projectors will create the characteristic, prism like purple, blue cutoff line and that is what it will look like down road until someone gets closer. The light on the road will be extremely bright and whiter than a halogen but not white like an led. Hope that makes sense.

It’s the XD extreme with the phillips 4600 bulbs. I actually bought it off of crashandburn, the guy who did the big lighting forum and testing. It was the one he used in the test so I know it worked... They are very high quality and I can’t complain about the kit in any way.

It does bounce on a brick or rough road, not to the point of bothering be but it’s there. From what I understand and read it’s a dice roll if you or anyone else will too. Toyota’s poor quality control in the manufacturing of the housings has some projectors looser than others. As a matter of fact, the right one clearly does it more than the left. I will tell you it’s not the bulb, I’ve definately came to that conclusion. As a matter of fact the right one which has more bounce in it is actually tighter in the socket than the left. It is definitely the housing or the projector. Now if if you will get get it too? I don’t know, place a bet and roll the dice. Some guys have it and some don’t.
