I’m good at waiting. Been doing it since 1.02

I find that the more I wait for Mat to do what he does best, the better. I’m perfectly happy with my 0944 4.88 tune for now.

Currently on 04B02, 1.05 87 base. Will I need to be on 04B04 to load 2.0 when it comes out? I know a lot of guys of used techstream to update, is it that quick & easy? I'm a slow learner sometimes & plus short on free time, so hate to just spin my wheels trying to do the update myself. But I want to be ready for 2.0. Oh, and my closest Toyota dealer is a pita to work with so that's why I don't go there. Thanks & all have a safe new years

Yes and yes. I cant dig for it now, but there is a list of people willing to do TSB updates if you want to meet up with them. Info is also in my signature.

I had that setup for a while. The throttle was much more sensitive with the CAI for some reason. I’ve since removed the CAI

I too had that setup for a while. Since put the stock box back on with an HPS intake tube since we went to 35's......and OVTune 2.0 Beta 91 with catted manifolds. :D

I currently have my stock intake back on but thinking of trying another CAI until i do the ovtune. i miss the sound.

I am currently back on my stock CAI because the K&N 71-9039 (black hawk) was triggering my MAF error, after i drove 9k miles with it with no issues. Im thinking about doing the intake tube with the stock air box and better filter. Hows the sound with your HPS tube and which one do you have? i was looking a the k&n 57-9039.

I have the URD Spec U exhaust, and now catted manifolds. So i cant really tell. I imagine its louder but in my case its moot.

I was looking at that HPS one, its sold out and hasnt been updated to say its good for the '18 & '19 yet either, cant imagine why it wouldnt in a '19. i might just try the K&N one since they are going to refund me for the black hawk. i just need to destroy it and send pics. just havent been able to do it yet lol I have the MBRP 3" cat back and its performs/sounds great. Was even better with the CAI. i just cant wait to get the OVtune in it.

I have same setup and like It. The HPS intake tube with k&n filter connected to @DobinsonsUSA snorkle and the MBRP with @OVTune. Works and sounds good.

I just ordered the K&N 57-9039 since the HPS is OOS. The HDPE tube and filter came out to $180 with tax, found a 15% coupon code. Ill give it a shot. If it sucks ill return it and try something else.

I spent a good bit of time looking through the posts but I'm in full panic mode and figured I might gain more ground posting here. I've been flashing my Tacomas for years with OVtune and have never received an error. Today I was flashing my new 2019 MT for the first time (freshly registered with OVtune, etc.) and got an error about 6% into the flash. It warned be about turning the ignition off and damaging my ECU, so I didn't. I tried again when it asked and got the same result. Tried a different tune file and same result. I went back and tried to identify again (which worked fine the first time) and now I get nothing. Just "Identifying" then "Completed successfully" but no info. How much trouble am I in?

Did you turn it off first or try to start from the on position? If you didn’t turn it off it won’t start after flashing.

if it still doesn’t start, clear DTC and try flashing again. You can also select one of the other drop downs (either with or without can bus) and try flashing again.
