Looking for some advice. I want to get new coil overs. Currently I have some random off brands and I would like to replace them (they clunk pretty good). I would like a 2” lift to level the truck out. Im leaning towards a fully assembled coil over. I found LROR has Bilstein 5100 with OME 2884 springs. After emailing a service person they say that they do not use the lowest perch setting, they use the second perch setting from the bottom. I’ve seen the threads that this is preloading the spring. Is it really that bad with the spring preloaded on that setting? I am new to lifting and leveling. Is there anywhere else with fully assembled bilsteins that arnt factory bilstein$$?

Welcome to TW. Check out headstrong offroad or wheelers offroad. You pay a small fee for them to assemble it, but for a 2006 it'll be worth it rather than trying to reuse old hardware. You're correct that it's ideal to leave it mounted on the lowest setting and pick the proper coils.

Thanks for the info @EatSleepTacos. I asked LROR if they could assemble it with the perch on the lowest setting. If they can’t I’ll go with one of the other too.

I also highly recommend headstrong off-road. They put ome 885 coils and 5100s together for me. I don’t remember the cost but I know it was much less than if I were to take it to a local shop. Good customer service too.
