    Hey all. Tons of threads here. Its awesome and i just joined so i havent had time to cruise through many yet.

    i was wondering if its possible to purchase and install the 2020 tacoma SR5 apple play enabled head unit into the 2019 SR5 tacoma?

    Nope. All the wiring has been changed for the 2020.

    Hrm. So best option is to replace the entire HU i guess?.... not the path i want to take. Looks like i will have to cruise through the crutchfield site and weigh my options. /sad

    You can get a far better radio for way less money anyway. The 2019 radio goes for over 2 grand at the dealership so I’m sure the 2020 is even more. I can build a full blown system for 2 grand lol. You can get an awesome radio for 800 or so installed.

    Bit of a purist on head units but after i do the speaker conversion i may get a new unit installed. Just looking at options for the time being.
