Anybody get their ceramic pads from Toyota? They wanted $160 for the non-ceramic pads, and only $60 for the ceramic pads.

I thought the ceramic would be more expensive.

In My Mind (what is left of it ..... There /I go again ...), Which do you want to wear/replace first?? Rotors or PAds ??? The Ceramics will last longer but at a heat and wear trade off to the ROtors.

Interesting. Thanks for the reply. I thought (don't have any real experience), that the ceramics would help make the rotors last longer as they can dissipate heat better.:notsure:

Ceramic won't make near the dust of an organic pad, but they are harder on the rotor. Rotors really aren't that expensive. I personally like ceramics for the dust factor. Make sure you properly bed them if you go that route.

How do you properly bed your front brake pads?
