Since nobody answered my question the last time I posted on Meso's thread, I am posting it here again.
Here is the OEM plastic end cap/connector trim which connects the leather boot of the shifter with the shifter of SR model vs all other models.

SR is black. All other models it is chrome. It this piece removable without breaking it? Replaceable with a black SR piece.

I have had mine apart but I don't remember how the plastic piece attaches. I would assume that the boot comes from Toyota with that part attached.

@Jeff Lange , is it possible to buy this black piece attached to the shift boot alone from Toyota parts department? What's the part number of this SR boot if I want to ask them how much it costs to buy?

At risk of breaking it I can. That is why I asked the question if it is removable at all in the first place. I can apply brute force and strength and take apart plenty of things in life, but is it advisable always? No. When I tried, mine's really tightly stuck together, and I wasn't sure if it can be separated or not, and that is why I am asking if it can be parted from the leather boot.

Not only can you not buy the ring separately, you can’t even buy the boot separately.

35978-04010 is the part number for the SR assembly with the boot and black ring.
