Gotcha. I tried to find open source info on AV4, but my google endeavors proved fruitless.

    This is their website: http://av-4.com/

They just started working with a dealership in Indianapolis with the Toyota’s. Not sure if they have done any work with any domestic brands other than through their shop exclusively.

Boy, reviving this thread brings back some memories lol. Learned a lot since this. I’ve had the lift for a little over a year now and so far it’s been pretty good. I upgraded some of the big components (went to adjustable vertex coils in the front and shocks in the rear). There are a few things that would be good to know. 1. The 6” lift I have doesn’t seem to have quite the lift some of the others 6” out there does (RC, BDS to name two). It’s a quality product but putting my truck next to a RC 6” it doesn’t look nearly as high (could be that my truck is right at 6” as well, unlike others). 2. The front diff seems lower on the Zone lift than other 6” DB lifts. The skid is definitely lower. Still have 11.5” of ground clearance, but feel like it should get more. 3. The bump stop extensions provided are terrible, allow for very little articulation (probably because it’s a spacer lift).

Overall, I don’t regret getting a 6” because it fits my needs and has not been an issue on some relatively tough trails in Florida. However, the upgrades I did were a big improvement, and if I were to start from scratch on my own dime (I bought the truck new with the lift already), I would go BDS or maybe even RC and make sure to upgrade to full Coilovers (my Vertex have been great so far).

Ultimately it comes down to what you want to do long term. Do you need a 6” drop bracket lift? Nope, not for most applications, but if that’s what you’re set on the zone lift is a good budget lift but could use some more refinement and there are a few better options out there.
