Ok so its all private testing.

I admit the 3,000 is pretty eye opening. I didn’t know you guys got your free Test that high. I’d guess like 1,500 but 3k holy shit.

So do you feel like fucking everything in sight? I mean shit my T levels are usually 400-500 and I’m ready to go whenever. You guys must feel like fukin animals lol
    Like... literally lol

    So... heres my dilemma.
And I’m not sure its much of a dilemma but...

My goal for completing my ultra in May is what I thought a conservative estimation of a lax finishing time, but by looking at the race results from last year it means I will place top 3 in my age group and top 5 overall in gender results.

I went for an 7 mile trail run today that covered part of the race course (the hardest parts of the course).
I realized my volume has more than prepared me for the distance on trails but my VO2 max and lactate threshold needs work.
If I hired an ultra coach I may have the ability to place. The only deal is, to handle the intensity work I need to I’m gonna have to back off on lifting intensity and potentially be OK with some mass loss (maybe 5lbs).

I’ll still lift but it will not be at the intensity required for hypertrophy.

I feel like I’m going to be shunned here but... if I have the opportunity to place in an ultra can I sacrifice my mass gains?

    This is the question.

Like I’ve never placed in anything in my life...

Do what you want big guy. You don’t need the validity of internet strangers.

I vote you place though but I’m competitive as fuck.

Win the damn thing. You’ll gain that 5lbs back the day after the race.

I’m aiming to place. I literally suck at everything I do. If I can place at this I feel like my insanity at running as much as I do is worth something.
This is how I feel. If strength and mass is something that matters it can matter later in 2020.

If I can be that douche at the gym that gives unsolicited advice... give the majority of your pay increase to either debt elimination or retirement

Good luck to you and your new job!!
    Happy for you

Thanks! I’ll be upping my 401k contribution A couple percent since I’m losing my company match and I’ll be putting more in to my investment portfolio. My only debt is my truck and my apr is stupid low. I don’t plan on spending anymore than I do now.

I don’t want a roast on this one lol. Need some real advice. Like “your form is shit and that’s why you can’t move weight...” or “you just don’t have the muscle apparently. Keep working”

Yep. I don't see any big form issues. Any reason you look up like that?

If it works it works. I don't see anything off on that angle.
