Just got the dome & map LED lights from MESO and the instruction states the battery needs to be disconnected before plugging in the new lights. I remember an earlier thread a long time ago about having to reset the sunroof after a battery disconnect. I can't find that old thread so I'm asking those with MESO lights with sunroofs did any of you experience this sunroof reset phenomenon? Also thinking maybe I can just pull the corresponding fuse to avoid having to disconnect the battery.

I didn’t disconnect my battery, and everything was/is fine.

Should note that I didn’t use any metal tools while removing the old and installing the new. Only plastic...

In your searching did you also see the countless threads of people with issues from not disconnecting the battery? Just be safe and save the potential headache. It takes 2 seconds.

Its always a good idea to disconnect the battery when doing anything electrical on new vehicles. The CAN/BUS system is sensitive.
Also, the sunroof procedure is in the manual.
