    Hi everyone,

I'm working on installing Bilsteins 5100 with OME 887 coils along with SPC UCAs. I'm at the point of putting things back together and am having trouble with the UPC ball joint screw input to the rotor connection. I'm tightening the castle nut as much as I can but there seems to always be a slight gap from the rotor arm to the balljoint stopper. Is this gap normal? I've tried unmounting the LCA to the rotor to see if it slides along the bolt well but it stops with that gap. Can someone shed some light? See attachment for photos. Also, this is on a TRD 2017 OR.

    Much appreciated.

Yes, that looks pretty normal. I can get a shot of mine in the morning if you would like. If the nut is tight, just make sure there is no play in it. I would put a jack under the lower arm and jack it up, this will take the pressure off the upper arm, then make sure there's no play at that point. If not then you should be good.

    Hey Calebc,

Thanks for the ights and I'll try your method in the morning. Yes that would be great if you could take a pic and send it over. Yeah I tried cranking it with a breaker bar and didn't want to go ham because I was afraid of stripping threads. There isn't any play on the nut at all. I'm hopeing this is done so I can work on the passenger side.

It’s a taper nut going through the spindle. So it won’t actually seat at the flat part that your asking about, but against the inside walls of the spindle. It’s tight inside the spindle so you’re good to go.
