My steering wheel is off center at 1 o’clock.

I had an alignment done at a Big Al’s and they said that I need new outer tie rod ends since the jam nuts are seized.

The steering wheel was close to center when I brought to them and after their “best of their abilities” adjustment, the wheel is off center.

I crawled under the truck to look at the tie rods. The drivers side, there is a lot of thread showing and on the passengers side, there almost none showing.

I attached the alignment results for context.

Im going to replace the tie rods tomorrow but how do I make sure the outer tie rod threads are “even” and get the steering back to center?

Your going to need to get it aligned again. I'll also add that you took your truck to a shop that has monkeys with wrenches in the back, go somewhere else.

Edit - I also see your local to me, I'd recommend Burts Alignment at town center for the best work. It's a old school shoo that has done nothing but alignments for years. They know there sh#t. Another pretty good place I found is the Firestone out near the oceana air station. They are pretty good and willing to work with you to get what #s you want

I always make sure the Jam/Lock nuts are broke free before going for Alignment

Did the shop bugger them up trying to get them free??

I hope you have new ones?

Because they are so close to the Steering Rack seals most shops will not use a Torch.

They don`t want to be changing and Buying a Steering Rack

I’m going to change out the tie rods since the bushings look beat and set it just the way it is now and take it up to Bert’s Alignment. I should’ve done that to begin with so lesson learned on my part.

I ended up getting new ones since the old bushings were worn out. I got the jam nuts free so I’m just going to replace the old ones and then get it realigned by a proper shop locally.

    are your cam tabs flattened?
Interesting that they couldn't get that left front caster better.
