I like the black with the louvers. Looks great!
Do you think they have a cooling effect?

Seemed to help with temps after I did it. If I were to do it again, I would have moved the louvers in about 1.5 inch. That would put the louvers at a spot that would be less covered by the hood support structure.

    Makes sense.
I have a supercharger awaiting rebuild. As you may know heat is a big issue with those. Louvers might be a good idea. The SC is still a ways off...got plenty of time.

Eventually I plan on doing an SC that's part of the reason I did the louvers.

Just thinking out loud here, but wouldn't it be good to add a cup shaped washer to those bolts to protect the heads? Maybe a fender washer with a slice of thick wall pipe welded to it?

That plate was test plate, the actual skids have counter sunk holes. And then I boosted the lip on those holes.

Had a mounting bracket, from Paranoid Fab, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with. When I ordered it, I asked them to not cut out the holes for the switches (to give me more options)

I had some magnets laying around (everyone loves playin with magnets). They were 1 inch round... so I drilled 1 inch holes in the bracket.

And mounted the magnets with some automotive goop (good stuff)

Then I cut me a piece of sheet metal and put it in the phone case of an old phone I had layin around.

Mounted the bracket in place of the ash tray... (now where the hell am I supposed to keep my pack of smokes?)

Then, via a bluetooth OBDii reader and the Torque App I can monitor my temps and other stuff.
