Took of my sway bar today (love it), and while taking off the stock “skid” plate I noticed how thin it really is - it’s pretty much worthless if I accidentally take a large rock to it.

Soo.. aftermarket it is. My question is, is the fitment any different than any other v6 3rd gen? RCI to be exact is what I’m looking at.

My RCI front and transmission set took me all of 45 minutes to put on including taking off oem splash plates and brace bars. Way better protection I went with the 1/4 aluminum raw very few big rocks where I live.

Fitment is a no brainer uses same holes as stock plus you reuse most of the bolts you take off the oem ones. I would bet these plates fit all gen 3 tacomas exactly the same hence the 16 and up they have on their sight for ordering. There are lots of good ones but these were pretty darn easy to put on.
