    Hey there!

Received an email from his new owners. They noticed some dark discharge from his eyes and some excessive scratching. I didn't notice either of those symptoms while I had him, so it's a little concerning to hear. The vet couldn't find any fleas, but he was on a flea medication as a precaution? Not sure if the discharge had been looked at yet.

I gave them as much detail about his stay with me as I could. Besides that, it sounds like he's feeling right at home as the guy emailing said Kevin (BT) was cuddled on his lap while he was writing me back. Just concerned new parents.

One or two kitties are available to foster tomorrow, but I was thinking about taking a break for a few days... Mix of guilt, wanting some fur balls around and trying to get a little window of R&R while I'm still on break. We'll see if I send a yes or no before the night is out...

Wonder if they switched his food? Could be some kind of food allergy manifesting.
Amos gets a runny eye from time to time and we occasionally treat it with steroid drops. If we don’t wipe off the eye juice it turns like a reddish brown. Glad he’s settling in well with his new family

Yeah, no tail. I guess that's a manx versus bobtail. He's actually a mitten foot!

Got him free on Craigslist, meh...20191117_103415.jpg

Could be from inflammation arising from allergies or something genetic. Our vet said watering eyes is normal but it usually drains through a duct in the bottom inside of the eye. This duct can become clogged or it never fully forms from birth. My moms cat has the same thing too but it didn’t start until after being scratched in the eye by another one of the cats.
With Amos the issue hasn’t been bad enough to take things any further than we have but the vet said the next step would be to open up the duct but it requires anesthesia. Not worth putting him through that.

Sweet - my wife and I are on our 3rd Manx.

We had a rumpy (no tail) and a stumpy that have crossed Rainbow Bridge, and now have another stumpy. Ours have all had great personalities, albeit all different.
