Do you think swapping for the stock Offroad will help with the roughness?

Kings are awesome but very expensive my guy. Check out Fox shocks as well.

They probably settled a bit but I believe my perception of what was stiff or not changed a bunch. I would give it some time, while you do your research, for you to get used to the ride.

I've actually never been in a stock sport, but i've heard the OR is supposed to be cushier than a sport. You could always go test drive one. The added bonus is you can get offroad springs and shocks with minimal miles dirt cheap on here. If you aren't looking to lift at all that might be a good option.

well in terms of tires it can only get worse when you add big C or E load tires. A bigger tire with a softer sidewall will give you some more plushness.

for comparison my tires are as stiff as they come.

Lots of great feedback already mentioned. We get quite a few Tacoma owners like yourself who want a better than factory ride with a 1-3" lift. Our tune with Fox or King is pretty dialed. Like mentioned before, these shocks (although pricey) are completely serviceable and should last you a the lifetime of the truck. If you ever add accessories/weight/start going offroad more, we can revalve the shocks to handle the changes. For a really nice truck, its worth getting really nice suspension to compliment it.
