I too have had the same thoughts and feelings. They were met with a slap on the head from my dad who told me I was being a cheap asshole

 

My mom doesn't really care what I do, as long as the insurance stays the same and I get something reliable. The title is in my name anyways.

Just installed my Ultragauge and I’m extremely pleased. I still need to program the UG for trans temps, but it works exactly as it should! Just waiting on my @SpikerEng mount now.

Super helpful that I now have an accurate speedometer and the MPG's are accurate. You can calculate the tire size difference into the UG to calibrate everything

 

I read up on all that this morning I’ll be getting one soon.

 

The mount is on its way to you . My favorite part of the UG is the Gallons Remaining, followed by the MPH (both of which are dead accurate after calibration). I don't see the Coolant Temp on you screen, did you at least set up and alarm for high temp?

I have not, I turned all the alarms off. Not exactly sure what temperature I need to set the temperature alarm to.

 

I'd set up a coolant temp alarm, if nothing else. Set it to something you won't expect to see normally, but to get your attention when things go wrong, maybe 220F. I come from the 3rd Gen 4Runner world, where busted coolant hoses have led to many blown head gaskets. The newer Tacos may be less prone to that, but it's still cheap insurance to set up an UG alarm - that's the beauty of the UG
