Warped outside mirror.

    I have a 2020 Tacoma. The drivers side outside mirror is distorted. If there’s 1 vehicle behind me, I can see 2 in that mirror. The dealer replaced it last Saturday and the replacement does the same thing.

    Anyone else have this issue and hopefully a cure ??


    The photo is something I found on problem vehicles with the issue. Didn’t see any solutions yet.

    I haven't noticed any issues outside of my normal piss-poor vision thus far. Is the mirror visibly concave?

    It doesn’t seem concave. I will put a straight edge on it now. I just thought it was a bad first mirror.

    Are you sure they actually replaced it? Did they confirm that they observed the same issue with the old mirror and that it was resolved by their replacement?

    Are you from colder temps?
    Had my 2016 for nearly 3.5 years now here in sunny California, and never had this issue happen.

    I called them earlier and they said they went and looked at the takeoff mirror and did not notice anything blurry but, the first guy I ever talked to about it said he saw what I was talking about before he ordered the new one. He isn’t there today and I will talk to him this coming Saturday.


    No confirmation as of yet. Will talk to original guy.

    one note....I feel this is a reputable dealership. They’ve always taken real good care of me.

    Your screenshot shows vehicle reports from 20 years ago and although I'm not a 20 year veteran of the truck, this is definitely a first. The best thing you can do is take pictures and post them here for us to critique, or send pictures to corporate.
