Since we are closing a little early tomorrow I was informed I have to be in
    At 7:30 instead of 9.
So that takes my snow blowing plans out the window and basically adds another hour
To my day at the shop.

Had my frame inspected today and was told "it's good" and to expect something in the mail from Toyota. I'm guessing it related to having it treated.

    Happy birthday @ImpulseRed008!

Had the rain this weekend but left ~4" snow on the ground. Temps dropped last night and snow started this morning supposed to go till 4 AM. 3-5" they said. It is already all of 5" with a heavy base of ice. Everywhere. And 35mph+ winds not sure some of the evergreen shrubs are going to make it. Just another day in paradise Dan, ice cream shops will be open before we know it, next year...

Trout season doesn't open here again until January 1. Oh you mean the water is open? Limestone creeks are open even in twenties and thirties below zero, but careful of the shelf ice. Once I got close to 60 got tired of chipping ice out of the guides on the fly rod and after I hit 60 has to be 30's above for me to go out.

Pro tip, felt soles on wading boots are slicker than owl shit on frozen snow and ice. Guess that is common sense though, pretty much ice spikes time as long as you can stay off the rocks. Because that is also slicker than owl shit.

I fail to see a win either way anymore LOL.

Been through that twice this year and got burned both times by leaving it. Just thicker ice to chip and clear when it was all said and done both times for me. Good luck Rob hope you make out better than I did. Down to just under 200 lbs. of ice melt now. Hopefully Walmart will be clearing it out soon because no one would ever use it in January and they start to put out the shorts and summer clothes then. At least that is how it has worked in the past.

Sorry, I did mean the rivers are ice free and in season. The rivers in the southern counties here are open year round.

I've actually never been a fan of felt. I'm usually hiking/bushwhacking my way into my favorite spots, so felt was useless for that. I use the Korkers rubber or studded rubber interchangeable soles.

Got a set of the aluminum studded soles for Christmas.
