Yestery, I noticed my reverse camera stopped working. The screen goes black while in reverse. Today, I removed the tailgate panel to inspect the reverse camera. After disconnecting and reconnecting the cable to the camera I turned on my truck to see if the reverse camera worked. Still got the black screen. At this point I noticed the day time running lights were not coming on. So I checked the fuse, the DRL fuse looked good and so did a couple others I checked.

I'm at 28k miles, so my warranty is void.

Any suggestions? I've noticed funky things going on with my electrical before. Changing climate control knobs would cause the stereo to freeze, I got my dome lights flashing on while driving in the day, and my stereo makes a pop sound. This was all never noticed by the dealer. I took it in every 5k miles.

Warranty is 36k miles, 60k powertrain. I would take it in to the dealer.

I may be mistaken but I was under the impression 25k was the mileage.

2 year 25k is the maintenance agreement, 3 year 36k is the warranty

My mistake. Well that's good to know. I don't know why I had that number stuck in my head.

I have a Beat-Sonic Front & Back Camera Interface and I figured that had something to do with mine doing that.
But anytime I disconnect & reconnect my battery, I get that black screen (back Camera only)
I have to take my radio out, unplug & plug it back in, and the camera works again.
I think it just resets it, just guessing.
It's pretty easy, I have it down to doing it in a few minutes lol.

Truck is in the shop, service guy said they replaced camera and stereo unit and it’s still not working. Said there’s evidence of rodents eating cables. They’re chasing conduit now. Am I on the hook for rodents eating cables and conduits?

Service guy said there was mud jamming up a connection. Not the one in the tail gate. *shrug

When rodents do damage to the wiring it is on you. Depending on your vehicle insurance it may be covered minus deductible. I don't know any car maker that covers rodent damage.
