So I'm in the midst of assembling an auxiliary fuse and relay panel. I want to just relocate the relays that are already wired to my rigid lights to the aux one but I'm a little confused about the wiring. It appears to be backwards.

    The rigid relay has
    87-fused power& switch hot
    30- lights
    86- blue trigger switch
    85- 3 ground wires

    Can 87&30 be used interchangeably?
If I were to copy this wiring for my other relays would they all need to be grounded of the relay ground?

Total newb trying to learn and not melt my truck

yea, you can use those two interchangeably. but just wire them all the same to make it easy to diagnose later on

is it safe to run the switch power off the same pin that powers the relay? or should i just wire to a seperate low amp fuse in the aux block?

you can, but i woudlnt, as you need to run that power into the cab, i would get power from the cab.

The pins 30 & 87 are interchangeable, there is no diode to block current/power flow.
Same as 86 & 85 unless the relay specifies there is an internal diode in the coil.

Wrong? like placing the 87 to the 30 and visa-versa? It'll still work just fine...hence there's no internal direction flow blocking. Standards are more like a guide...research the Tacoma, see if ALL the relays are wired exactly the same...

ok so as long as there is no diode the way rigid wired these relays is perfectly fine? is there any advantange to switching 30 and 87?

    Here's a Toyota example...
    upload_2019-12-31_18-5-8.jpg
Relay after battery no fuse to another relay with interchanged 30 & 87 (5&3) dual fused after the second relay (second is a 87 & 87a change over type relay).
