No, that's not how it bent. It bent only at the very end.

Can't confirm for sure, but I think it was perfectly straight up until the bearing. Then you could see the tire wobbling in the mirror.

Just accidentally weighed my pig. Sitting at 4960 with my daily carry gear. Doesn’t include any camp gear.

Interesting, so it didn’t blow out the axle seal then? Seems like a leaking seal is one of the first symptoms of a bent axle, but if you could see your tire wobbling then that was probably a better indication lol

No, seal was fine. However, I replaced them along with the bearings like 2 years prior to that happening, so they were pretty new.

Installed one of my Christmas gifts this afternoon. While I was adding the gauge/chargers, I went ahead and included some LEDs for my future salvage yard scrounged cup holder.

I shuffled a few things and deleted a W/H protector under the cover, but maybe could have left it stock. I was just worried about clearance under there for the connectors and the two screws. I added glued under the rectangular cover before installing the screws. I left enough extra wire so I can lift the shifter bezel and disconnect wires from the back side, so no need to remove the gauge.

I tapped the lighter socket for power, since so many of the ones sold plug in there anyway, I figured why not.

Installed my Tundra brakes today, outside temperatures never got out of the 20's.
Also replaced the lugs with longer ones for more security.
    So far so good.

Majority of 96-00 base model 4Runners had them. Should be an easy find at a junkyard.

Installed my @SpikerEng hood struts tonight...very cool little mod if I do say so myself. Opens the hood another ~6inches higher and it practically opens itself when you pop the latch, just have to give it a little boost with your fingers and up it goes.

I'll get some pics/video tomorrow when it's not dark out
