People don't want to risk buying used tires with no guarantee from a guy off FB Marketplace only to find out they are out of round, have a busted belt or two or other issues you cannot see by looking at them.

That's why they don't command much.

I mean, they could pay $500 for used tires with zero warranty plus pay install and balance them at a shop or the same tires new for $750 with full tire warranty, roadside and lifetime mount and balance and rotate at my local tire store AND $150 back from Goodyear on a gift card....

All good points. If $200 is the best I can get for them (without the hassle of selling them myself) then no big deal. Was just curious if anyone had any experience doing the same or if it was worth trying to get a little extra for them. I'm not too worried about it in the long run nor is selling them a make or break it for me on getting new tires....or other goodies!

true, one of the tires I bought had a plug in the upper corner I didn't notice no one will balance/mount it and had to buy a new take off,$466 out the door with mount/balance/alignment:notsure: first Craigslist experience for me

Sold my Offroad set of wheels and tires for $450. Had 5k miles on them.

Those tires by themselves? $350 max. And it will take a year before someone bites at that price.

Ive sold 2 sets separate from wheels, my 17 which I got $400 for and my 19 which I got $300 for both under 500 miles. I've sold one of my 19 OR wheels and tires together for $650 and just sold my 19 Sports wheels and tires together for $600. I would say if you can get $300-400 for the tires you did really well, but wouldnt get expect more than that. As others mentioned its a big risk for the buyer and once you add in, balance, install it comes close to what they could pay for a new set.

Got $100 a tire for mine. Remember these are P rated tires which means like 4 ply rating.

jup if there wasn't a plugged tire I would've hit it out of the park, on my deal. if I had bought a new set of decent tires would have been $800-$1000 unless your buying those Chinese/Korean may pops

    A few.
I sold mine on cl or fb for $400 with 700 miles on them. Took a few months and dealt with a few lowballers but if you have a little patience they will sell. Only takes 1 serious person.

$200 for a quick sale sounds about right, $300 if you want to wait and put up with low-ballers and hassles.

Are we talking about the Stock GoodYear Kevlars? Honestly I wouldn't take a set even if you offered them for free. They just aren't a good tire.

The shop I work at might buy them for 200, but we would feel lucky if we sold them for 250. Not really worth the effort and storage. Not to mention people who buy used tires are more anal about the performance and quality then the people buying new? Never understood this
