Installed a leash for my girlfriend's oil tanker of a water bottle. I was going to drive the truck into a wall if I heard it clanking and slamming into sh*t one more time! ....it works freaking great....

Also installed front window weather tech wind deflectors. They seem a little too tight. We'll see how they test after the set time.

Looks great, I've been wanting to do this for awhile now. How much sanding did you do?

My center console was already satin black so I used a red scotchbrite pad to scuff it up, cleaned, and wiped down with rubbing alcohol before paint.

For the other pieces I scuffed them with scotch brite, cleaned, alcohol, Dupli-color adhesion promoter, then paint

Got my rusted bed bolt out , used a dremel to cut the sides and used a 24inch wrench to break loose

Yep. I'm gonna take it apart and solder the wires to the crimp, if that doesn't get me a good connection I'll rebuild them with new connectors.

Hell yeah, nice save. Everyone makes mistakes sooner or later, it's the ability to overcome their mistakes that makes a great mechanic.
