First, please direct me to another thread without hesitation if it holds what I am looking for.

I have a 2019 TRD Sport. It came with the oval steps. It's mostly a mall crawler, so it won't be lifted. The oval steps are worthless in assisting one in and out of the truck, which is something my wife struggles with. I've looked at dozens of drop steps/nerf bars, and I have only seen one that mentions specifically the vertical drop from the vehicle threshold, the N-Fab N-Durastep at 7", but even that is a bit misleading as it is mounted closer to the body than the current oval steps, which may take several inches off the drop in comparison. Eyeballing it, it looks like the Predator steps drop as much as anything, but they are expensive, and I'm not crazy about their look. Regardless, I'm looking for function over form. Any help?

I seem to recall seeing on here that the NFAB predators are 14" off the ground.I keep looking at them on line, but haven't got myself convinced yet to spend the $800CDN.
