Ferrari has massively struggled to effectively manage their own efforts. Guaranteed that shit will continue to spread from their veto as they try to manage the rules.

 

Great season ender for HAM. Bottas easily DotD even though Hulk got the sympathy vote. Grosjean has a seat in 2020 but Hulk does not. Final WTF of 2019 season.

Ferrari's self serving veto is bad for the sport under the best of circumstances. It can be nothing but worse when they are in relative disarray desperate to beat Mercedes and under threat from Red Bull. And while I'm at it, fuk Ferrari's special financial bonus too.

 

I guess I'll see you guys in winter testing. Go Red Bull!

That's a cool track. Turns 14-21 looks fun. A lot of tight turns as well.

A brake failure here or wheel rub launch could be scary for the spectators.

 

They won't be that close. I've seen the hairpin at Montreal. The one where Kubica's car disintegrated. No fans were injured. F1 and the FIA won't allow fans that close, period.

his car left the track on the straight stretch prior to the left hand kink before you get to the hairpin , its quite a ways from there to the hairpin itself , I've been on the track right there , its where the bus picks you up to take you to the pit lane during the Thursday open house

my seats in grandstand 1 at Montreal are about 25' from the track edge

the lowest seats in that Grandstands 1 & 2 are maybe 15' from the edge of the asphalt

 

Are you saying there will be spectator seats 20 ft from the apex of the hairpin in Vietnam, on the outside of the turn? That’s what the artist rendering shows and that’s what I’m saying won’t happen.

 

Speculating here, but it seems to me that the right hander before the 180 left hander may slow the cars down enough to mitigate the risk of catastrophic amounts of debris flying into the stands.
