I have a 2002 Tacoma double cab with 401k miles and the stock stamped steel wheels with the huge thick tires just don’t quite ride right anymore. I bought a set of used 18x7.5 rims with a 25mm offset from another much newer line of Toyota trucks. What size tire would work best with that? Like a 265/60/18? Anyone have any experiences?

265/60R18 is the same diameter as the stock 265/70R16 tires.

It will be slightly more bumpy, but corners will be better.

I prefer 16" to 18" on all tacomas simply due to I'm old and hate feeling every bump.

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
18x9s on 33 12.50s is a pretty good ratio to me

The newer tacoma wheels have less backspacing, which means they are closer to the suspension/frame. So wider/bigger tires will more likely rub. Most people who use the newer Tacoma wheels use spacers.

Also, do you have a lift or anything, or stock suspension?

If stock, you can't really get anything that's much bigger, especially when you have less backspacing or your tires will rub. So just get whatever the outside dimension is the same as the stock size to be safest if you don't want any rubbing. ALso keep in mind that a lift won't typically prevent it from rubbing anyway, it may just not rub in the parking lot, but will still rub when the wheel articulates.

I have a stock suspension height currently on this truck, I got a lot of sway in the 265/70/16 tires so that’s why I went with bigger rims to try and cut down on some of the sidewall basically trying to have the same exact size overall tire with decent enough ride quality. I’m gathering that’s 265/60 with 18x7.5’s?
