Mine felt the same way last year when I had it replaced. But over time it's reverting back. Hope your new part fixes it!

So recently, I have started to get a LITTLE bit of friction (not creeking yet) that has it kind of stopping / sticking in certain slow movement scenarios of the clutch pedal. It's a bit concerning, half of me is hoping it develops more so I can deal with it before out of warranty (I'm almost at 19K).

I had the same thing but worse and I'm at 18xxx miles and I sprayed some silicone grease on the clutch pedal and it quit making noise and was smooth for a long time. But I haven't sprayed it since I heard of this TSB in hopes I can get mine replaced

It is kind of like watching grass grow. It's gradual and you barely notice the increasing stiffness until it's a full blown creaking rocking chair sound.

Yeah this is the second time for me. As mentioned previously, I had this get full blown and serviced (they fully replaced pedal assembly and clutch master cylinder etc). Hopefully this either goes away or gets full blown soon...

Got the TSB service a few weeks ago to fix this... Creak started somewhere between 15k and 20k on my 2018 DCSB. Noise is gone; we'll see how long it lasts.

This must mean they offer manual LC200s overseas? Wish they offered that here in the states...

I've only seen it on the lower trims, but still sweet never the less...

It's interesting that the threshold for full assembly replacement is pretty low. Does it creak? Yes. Okay replace it. Hopefully removing the issue of what is deemed tolerable and whats not. Honestly if someone had the old TSB done with different parts they should just do the swap for the new one regardless because they knew they were just kicking the can down the road with reinstalling the same parts.

Does the tsb really affect drivability? Mine creaks a little sometimes but not very often. Clutch engagement feels inconsistent sometimes. Some days feel like clutch engages slowly and slips and sometimes the clutch feels very responsive.

I had the squeak fixed under warranty. No felt difference in clutch operation. It was fine before and after the noise fix.

Had mine fixed, and noise came back, looks like another trip to the stealership.

I played that game with my 2nd gen. argued with them about the TSB and whether it applied to 2014 clutch squeak, they perform the TSB, squeak comes back, complain again, etc...

at this point, I just WD40 it in the correct locations and deal with the rest. every trip in to the stealership is a potential stroke when you realize how shady and inept they are.

Just noticed "the creak" when temps were over 100*, well the daughter was the first to notice this "dad why is your car making that sound?" Thx OP for the TSB notice, gonna try hitting it with HD Silicon Spray first before bringing it in for the TSB (if needed). I'm old and hard of hearing so it's not too high of a priority (yet) ;). Thx everyone for the solution info!

Silicone spray will not last very long, it's worth the few extra minutes to use Disc Brake Grease as it won't melt off in High temps.
