I have a pedal commander and it clearly changes how the truck drives / accelerates. I get no extra hp but the hp I have is now at my command. Is it worth the coin it was to me since I city drive quite a bit. I like how my stock exhaust sounds so have no need to change it. It sounds like a truck I’m good with that.

My highlander exhaust was noisier and sounded better than my tacco with oem exhaust. That's why I installed the TRD exhaust. Now it sounds like a truck.

Pretty sure Toyota engines are SAE certified for HP so they make what they're advertised for with a small variance. BMW doesn't so that's why the Supra may make more power than advertised.

TRD is the stupidest moniker Toyota uses. It is second only to “Nismo”
in being an example of the rare Japanese version of “going full-retard”. The fact they put that badge on Tacomas, Tundras, 4Runners, RAV4s, and Sequoias, which are all painfully slow, somewhat gutless vehicles, shows how little “Racing Development” Toyota actually puts into any of these trucks/SUVs.

I if I ran Toyota, the first thing I’d cancel is “TRD” branding on anything that can’t podium on a track day.

First time my wife asked why my truck said "TuRD" I knew I was removing those decals.

The products of a absent father household is what we have here. The type of bellyaching you'd hear a child whine about because school break is over.

Careful.. you’ll lose friends with language like that!

but I subscribe to what you are saying. I love my Tacoma but I’m not blinded by the TRD anything. It doesn’t make you go faster or stronger any more than Nike makes you jump higher. Placebo effect.
