I bought my truck specifically for the rear locker...and have never used it. If I knew then what I know now, I would have bought a sport for the better day to day driveability of the LSD.

I had my TSB updated at Mark Miller Toyota. It was free of charge.

As long as you are still under warranty they are free. Problem is if you aren’t showing the signs of the tsb, most dealers won’t do them.

Then I would suggest move on to the next dealer or pay someone that works at the dealer to make it happen.

Just find it odd that MM will do it for some people but not others.

I’ve got a techstream setup. I’ll do it myself eventually (hopefully once I get confident with the computer/cable).

I think in my opinion these dealerships don't want to do the work if they can't get any money from vehicle owners.

I never had MM turn down TSB work for me. They have done my rear suspension twice and both front headlights on my 2nd gen without any fuss.

Yeah they've helped me out with other warranty/tsb items on both my tacomas. Just wouldn't do the software update. Weird...

Karl Malone did mine when I asked. I went in with the TSB printed out and read the description of the TSB to them for what my symptoms were. I am running OVTune now on 04b04 or whatever the latest one is.

So I got my tailgate repainted. I had a strip of clear vinyl protection on the top couple inches of the tailgate to protect the seal/flap on my shell from rubbing the paint. I need to get another strip of clear put on. Does anyone know a clear bra/tint shop that would do a scrap strip for cheap? @BHill_teq, anyone in your dept. still do this?

Do it yourself maybe? Pretty easy to apply with some soapy water mix and a squeegee.

We use it as paint protection on our mountain bikes, its crazy durable and done properly almost undetectable.
