Mine is like before, there is increasing resistance towards what feels like a detent, then it goes into 4H. From 4H you push it in and there is a similar feeling going into 4L.

I had a feeling that was it but wasn't sure.. one came out during the process and I just put it back in. Em I suppose to push them further in with a pick tool or something? They are just sitting there when I put the piece back together. Also signed up for the vent rings thank you @MESO

@MESO are you planning on doing the fan and 2 temp control rings to color match the other ones?

Same thing happened to me. There are 2 very small black plastic pieces that sit on top of the springs.

Also, Meso, when is an LED key fob coming out? I’m surprised you haven’t incorporated lights into your key fob yet!!

Anyone else's start button shroud not quite sitting flush? It won't stay down at the 10 and 12 o'clock positions, as if it weren't clipping into whatever is in the switch. Just to be sure I didn't jack something up in the removal, I put the chrome back in and it seats and clicks nicely.

Edit: just put everything back in the truck. Looks sick but the red vs factory MGM/gunmetal on the A/C controls is messing with my OCD. The start shroud seems to be secure now that the switch unit is back in its mounting. I don't think it's in danger of being pulled or falling off. Also, today I learned that you can pull the gearbox trim off without unbolting the 2 10mm that hold the console in place. Big time saver.

Happened to me too. I just kinda jammed it on there and l it is what it is. It doesn't sit flush like in the video. I asked meso but he is pretty busy and hasn't gotten back to me.

It's in the truck otherwise I'd snag a picture. I'm not concerned about it unless it starts to feel insecure.

My start button ring isn't quite flush either ... around the 9 - 12 o'clock position. It isn't bad, but if you push on it you can tell there is a bit of slack to take up.

EDIT: I absolutely love the kit though and would 100% do it again.
