Well Guys,
here are a few pictures from the body shop on my 2019 VooDoo Blue Tacoma TRD Pro that got rear ended right before the holidays. As you can see, none of my frame was damaged at all. They had to replace a few pieces of the bed but other than that, it looks pretty good. Also, they were taping up my tail gate when I got there this morning.

I also took a couple of pictures of the inside. Someone decided to put all of my good parts in a square bucket inside my truck on my plastic that is getting all scratched up. I had to tell the owner that this is a brand new truck and they should have put this stuff on a blanket or towel. For that, I was pretty pissed. The owner said that if they can't get the back of the rear seat cleaned, they will just get all new plastic. I told him, those scratches will not come off.

 

Great solution, don't have to wire power or install switches, you just need to carry a pack of AA's, which I carry anyway for flashlights and a radio.

 

I would have waited till they were done with the truck before bitching about the scratches.

 

No, it’s always better to identify issues when they come up. If not, those boxes would be out of the truck and empty with the shop owner claiming the scratches were already there.

 

Good point. Just hope he's not vindictive. I once knew a guy who ran a body shop and he loved to talk about customers he screwed for giving him a hard time.

 

I think I will be ok with this shop. They fixed my wife's Chevy Traverse last year (2019) after a young kid texting and driving in a Jeep, rear-ended her Traverse. They changed everything including the rear glass. They will not use any aftermarkets parts. It's all from the manufacture (in this case, it's Toyota). I will keep all of you informed. I can actually say that I was more pissed with the plastic tub inside my truck than the actual guy who hit me. Call me crazy.

I got the passenger side installed before I got thirsty. I'll get the driver side on tomorrow and then get some pictures of the whole truck.

Ordered a yeti tundra 65, maxtrax, and beast fab sliders. Ready for Mojave desert next weekend.

 

I drilled and used a piece of 1/2" plywood as a backer. Super glue or 3M tape don't work well when pulling off of the magnet.

 

Installed my sliders exactly 2 weeks ago and I think I had at least 5 beers during the install

 

Brought it home!
