He expected his pilot to pull his head of out his ass and engage the target.

Not an unreasonable request if you ask me.

yeh, i get random calls from Captains and Majors that i've mentored. it's pretty cool

one of those dudes is a treasury agent now, another is an ODA commander, two Armor officers, a female Infantry officer, one new-ish Lieutenant just sent me his first publication in a professional magazine. for a while my wife wondered why i saved random mail like that, she treats that stuff like christmas cards from family now

I’ll probably finish eventually, I think I need six more classes for my bachelors, they’re just the six classes left that I have no desire to take. Between going to actual college for a few years when I was younger, army course credits and more recent online college I have almost 160 credits, it’s just getting them to line up between school transfers to come out with something in the end. My GI Bill will probably be used for the rest of my fixed wing training so I have fixed and rotary covered for after retirement.

nope, i repaired a hulled pontoon with a spool mig. feeds-and-speeds, gas and energy and a load of practice and so can you.

edit: you'll have to look at the welder model you have. read the manual front-to-back and don't forget to read the inside cover. as luck would have it, i use a little Lincoln to spool mig. throw me your model number and what you have for practice material and i might be able to get your settings started

before you do though: get an acetone wash bottle, acetone, and a new wire brush for just mig spool work. steel's forgiving as far as cleanliness, but aluminum is merciless. both sides of all welding surfaces absolutely must be clean and bright metal before you throw a spark

and you're gonna want to use argon, no more CO2 brother, you need the good stuff

spoolguns are gonna run almost as much as your welder, but they rock, in the end you're gonna spend less by using spooled wire rather than tig wire, but you're going to be limited by material thickness unless you get a stronger machine

They run the asylum here unfortunately.

I'm just here because it's 100% coverage for grad degrees on yellow ribbon.

ok I so maybe you can answer this question. So I guess if you use brake cleaner to clean parts and then weld you inadvertently make phosgene gas...well is that just for the liquid state or is your equipment ruined also? I used some brake cleaner to clean the welding tip or something. Anyhow I never could get a straight answer on whether this affected the gun after the brake cleaner evaporated so I just ordered a new one. Prob overkill but Im not dead yet...

Should’ve checked the CQ roster. Obviously you’re a no show.

I guess I can stop trying to enlist into space force now. I’ve only got one caveat for this show, I don’t wanna walk anywhere that doesn’t take me directly to chow, a bunk, or to the crapper. Gout is starting to kick in and it sucks.
