Hey all. So I had to fix a bent valve on my 5vz-fe. Tore it down and am rebuilding it now. Just added the top portion of the manifold and realize that the I dont know where the fuel pressure regulator connects to. I dont know if I mixed up the hose its suppose to connect to, with something else. But that's the one thing I'm scratching my head over

I have the regulator bolted in to the fuel rail. But the connection was lost on the other end

The vac sensing hose to housing after air filter, and then fuel return hose connects to a metal line that I always assumed ran back to fuel pump?

That metal line in the pic, its connected to the regulator?

Edit: is the regulator upside down by chance?

So with it all back together. The two connections left are the steel regulator hose and a rubber hose which looks like it goes to the intake manifold. That hose has the pink paint at the base. I dont want to make any assumptions that they go together.

If someone could send me a pic of where their regulator connects to I'd appreciate it. This is the only thing that's keeping me from a test drive.

The metal line coming out the back of the driver's side fuel rail. What does that connect to? The FSM doesn't really tell me

The Haynes manual had this vague pic. On my 2RZ, there are 3 metal lines from the fuel pump: one to fuel pressure regulator, one to charcoal canister and one to fuel filter. My fuel pressure regulator goes from metal tube to 6" rubber hose, back to weird formation metal tube, back to rubber hose, and then finally metal tube back to fuel pump. Looks like on V6 there's a line sending to passenger side, and returning driver's side through regulator. Tried to google more pics, sorry not as helpful as I thought I'd be!
