Had similar problem and needed passenger side bumper cap. I’m on the Big Island and couldn’t find a supplier that shipped a painted cap to Hawaii. I finally ordered it from Amazon and had it shipped to my son on the mainland. It’s currently in transit via USPS. Rate was $50 for 3 day delivery, didn’t want to risk waiting for weeks.

Yup. That's another option. Amazon ships free to mainland. If you have someone there, ship there and have them send to you. I had an item sent to brother in Washington State and USPS here.

Last checked, Amazon is 60. for chrome cap.

From Hawaii but now currently in Guam. A Freight Forwarding company is what I use to bring in large bulky items. Not as costly as everyone think however, it does take time to arrive. There are plenty of ways but you have to be patient.

Jone's Act doesn't actually have nearly as much as everyone claims for HI pricing. The fact that HI isn't on the way to anywhere and it's such a small market (relatively) has more to do with it.

And Guam is exempt from the Jones Act...

    :)

I normally would assume that also, but also dont want to screw anyone here on TW because they didnt realize the shipping would be slightly more. Now if it was on eBay, then its fair game. Most people will just honor the quoted price and eat the additional shipping but not if it is significantly more.

I’m on the big island as well and can’t seem to find anywhere to ship here. Was suggested something similar to ship to Cali and have a friend ship to me here but even then I can’t find a reliable place.

Hi, how do I get the part shipped to them? Do I request it be shipped to HOT when I order it or can it be ordered on there? Sorry never dealt with that before lol

you will buy from whoever and have them ship to HOT. get the weight and box measurements from supplier then call HOT and find out there address to send the item and how to coordinate the item when it is delivered to HOT. they most likely will give you a invoice # that must be visible on the shipping label from supplier, they will give you a price. if you are satisfied with the HOT deal then make the purchase with the vendor. HOT sends containers every week to hawaii.

Keep it simple. Send goods to a mainland address and send it USPS for an extra $50.. Bumper side swap took 5 minutes to install, no need to dismantle the entire bumper..Reading present logistics is foolish.

    It’s a piece of plastic..Life is too short.958F830D-8734-4F7F-B4B7-9BC1B4F02110.jpg

I normally search on Amazon or Ebay and if I can't find it there? I can at least get the part number and then do a google search and it will show me dealers with that part and I just order it from one of them. Much cheaper then buying it from Servco.
Also that bumper cover is plastic so it shouldn't cost much to send it to Hawaii.
