Same here, I priced some body clips from an Internet Toyota dealer in FLA at .90 each. Called my local Toyota dealer hoping to save some time in shipping, they were $2.95 each.

I don't mind paying a little more to support local business, but come on.

If you ask them to price match sometimes they will.

Just ask your parts to guys to match price with shipping. My parts guys just ask me what my total cost is online with shipping and he matches that no problem.

I try to buy everything local, even if it adds a few bucks to the total....as long as the price is within reason. When it comes to auto accessories, I typically order local, even if they have to order it. It usually only takes a day and once again, as long as the price is within reason.

I'm not interested in negotiating with someone who tries to screw me with their initial price.

I bought the shift knob and bed mat from Amazon. Same price as dealer and delivered to my door, no issues.

Amazon has become the go to and even Amazon knows this. I find better deals on stuff elsewhere even with shipping. Shop around people, don't be an Amazon sheep just because you have prime.

    Fuck Amazon and Bezos

I really don't understand this line of thinking. So pay the mom and pop shop and let them get rich while you pay a little more. If transferring your hard earned money to some soon to be wealthy mom and pop makes you feel better than saving a few bucks to buy from "an evil dirtbag" that is the ultimate mom and pop then go ahead. I'll wager towards the end you'll regret that decision.

The part that gets me about Amazon is people now won't even shop around because Prime. I routinely buy stuff cheaper from other sites shipped vs. Amazon. IMO Amazon knows the sheep are conditioned to buy.

I did once stick it to Amazon by signing up for Prime free trial. I ordered a bunch of heavy shit that they shipped for free and canceled right after I got it.

You kinda wasted your time with that douche move but whatever. I'm sure people Google what they're looking for before blindly buying from Amazon. And I highly doubt you routinely buy stuff cheaper. With cheap, fast and great customer service they got to be pretty big.

Some folks are mad about everything.

Yep. Great indicator of a limited vocabulary and general lack of civility.

I was shopping for a solar charging cover for my Ring doorbell 2. Amazon was charging $89, Ring was $49. Just an example to ALWAYS shop around first.
