That was idling up that hill in 1rst gear low range at 128:1 low range gearing . I scared the other jeep owners in that pic that they refused to climb it

About that mud puddle, I think it's been turned into a Mud Pond now.

Here's what I found on December 29th and a short write-up I posted in another thread:

Arroyo Seco Del Diablo's blockage has become a Mud Pond. Some newb decided his stock SUV could follow his buddy's rig. Didn't work out as planned.

This was a real mess. The guy tried going to the left of the bush and sunk in. If you look in front of the bush and to the left you can see how far he got.o_O Where he is now is because when trying to winch him out he just kept sliding sideways down the ditch on the driver's side. From this point the ditch gets deeper. Several vehicles, 3 or 4 winches, lots of people and plenty of suggestions. So we headed back down the wash.

The divot to the left of the bush is mine. That T4R didn't make it nearly that far.

What color? Black and he had some leeway. Blonde and he was teetering on the edge...

What a fantastic group, fantastic community I’m proud to be part of. I’m glad man, machine, mans best friend all got out and home safely.

My days of fun in the dirt are long gone yet I understand how many people fully enjoy it. Occasionally I’ll spend the day working next door to a 4 wheel parts. The stream of people in and out carrying huge boxes of stuff is endless.

I respectfully ask we remind ourselves that it is fun, but also dangerous. A good time in the desert, a dune buggy accident that ended the life of my 12 year old cousin, I was 11 at the time. That was 45 years ago, yet it still saddens me to tears think of it. Motorsports are fun, the more dangerous, the more we enjoy it. For me there’s nothing like the sound and feel of a screaming turbo pinning me to the seat back. But my preference is to be on pavement under feet and wheels.

So bring paddle tires. Got it. There's trails all over that park, we'll find a way!

My buddy just sent me this - got another one - I've seen this blue Tacoma in Poway before (I remember because the giant RTT on the roof, and the "tacoma" in the grille lights up lol)

That's a very popular/ unpopular trail right now. Someone might should put up a sign with number of casualties and the date. That's at least 3 that I've seen recently.

The mud in that spot Is no joke. It was the consistency of melted ice cream when I went through. Luckily I had a couple of buddies with me to pull me out unlike some other people...Snapchat-1091745209.jpg Message_1577663157829.jpg
