yes that’s the max tow rating, but I have heavy sliders, heavy rear bumper, skid plates, kinda heavy tires and larger than stock tires and towing 5k. Don’t get me wrong I was able to maintain 60mph, but it didn’t like going up the cajon pass. And I was going about 50 up the pass full throttle the entire time.

The most I ever towed were (25) 8x8 railroad ties. They were about 2500#. Went over the hills and gullies here in the east coast ECT button smashed in the dashboard and couldn’t get pass 60mph. I was dashing between semis to stay out of traffic.

that’s weird. I regularly flat tow my samurai, 35 inch tires, it’s spooled in the rear and it weighs 2900-3000 lbs with the spare tire, fully loaded with all my tools and recovery gear. I have absolutely no issues keeping it at 65mph up any hills around here.

I used to work as a barback at a bar/music venue; These pictures were taken outside the liquor store in late 2015...

My license plate in my back window, because less than a month before these pictures were taken, I got hit by a drunk driver in a 2002 Mercedes E320; I had removed the back bumper because it was so badly damaged I couldn't open the tailgate all the way!

My truck does work every time I drive it, when it's moving it has more potential energy than when it's sitting still so it's done work :)

Did you have to order your truck? I know that 2nd Gen RC SR5s do exist, but I have NEVER seen one in person!

Dang! Got rid of all my pics pulling car trailers loading up with dirt/mulch/brush, moving kids, appliance hauls, etc. For whatever reason this one was still on my phone.

    Whoa, whoa, wait, what?

Nah B, when it's moving it has LESS potential energy than when it did before it started moving, as the potential energy (i.e. the liquid dinosaurs in the gas tank) is traded for kinetic energy (i.e. the acceleration/movement of the truck from a stop/lesser speed) as the conservation of energy principle must be maintained at all times.

Remember, potential energy is stored energy (i.e. gravity, gasoline, pressurized fluids, etc). Movement is never (ok, maybe in a few, very specific situations) potential energy.
